HALL SWITCH MODULE
- the module is suitable to switch any kind of small electric device (with a common positive leg)
- area of usage: controlling lights inside wagons, locomotives, houses or everywhere you want to hide the switch
- integrated Hall sensor
- on-board LED indication
- do not need to install a visible switch, because the on/off function is controlled by a magnet (not included)
- max. output current: 500 mA
- recommended power supply: 8-15V DC
- dimensions: 26 x 19 mm (1 x 0.75 inch)
- stand-by consumption: 9 mA
Function:
On startup, the output is off (output = HIGH). The LED flashes for 150 ms (milliseconds) in 2.5-second intervals to conserve energy in cases of battery-powered operation.
Put the magnet close to the Hall sensor, and the LED will light continuously, indicating that the magnet has been detected. Hold the magnet for 2 seconds to switch on the output.
To switch off the output, repeat the same way as above: hold the magnet close to the Hall sensor for 2 seconds.
The maximal output current is 500 mA. In case you need to control a device with high consumption, use a relay with a protective 1N4007 diode (installed on a coil of a relay) or use a relay card.
